Distance Healing and Telephone Counselling - are effective alternatives to face-to-face work
Alternatives to face-to-face work
If visiting one of the centres from which we work is not possible for you, then the choice of telephone counselling or distance healing is available (more information below).
Plus, in some circumstances - depending on how far you live from Totnes and our diary schedule - we may be able to visit you in your own home.
What is distance healing?
This is the term generally used to describe what happens when you are not in the same room as the practitioner during a healing session. Energy Healing and Reconnective Healing work perfectly well in this way - hence our fees for this work are the same. Our up-to-date prices can be found here and reflect the time we share with you.
At the start of a session, Geoff or Louise will call you on the telephone. Following an initial chat, you will be invited to go and lie down (or make yourself comfortable in whatever way seems most fitting) whilst the healing session proceeds for an agreed period of time. Afterwards, Geoff or Louise will call you again to discuss your experience and answer any further questions.
What is telephone counselling?
This is a counselling relationship which happens over the telephone. It involves the same careful, respectful and clear agreements between you and the counsellor (including confidentiality) that any face-to-face work would.
Your counsellor (either Geoff or Louise - depending on who you have chosen to work with) will call you at an arranged time for your session. You are invited to find the most appropriate place to receive the call - ideally somewhere you can be comfortable and feel safe enough to share your thoughts and feelings. Your counsellor will always ensure privacy at their end of the phone and protect your time with them from interruptions. The session will last for an agreed length of time.
Telephone counselling can help with all the same issues face-to-face work does. Some issues counselling can help with are listed here.
How does payment in this situation work?
Either full payment or a deposit (whichever is agreed with your practitioner) for distance healing or telephone counselling sessions is requested in advance of your booked appointment. This reserves the time with your chosen practitioner.
Payment can be made either by cheque or Paypal (if you have an account).
